Filial Lee Hsi-Cin Stone Arch

Filial Lee Xi Qing memorial Stone Arch Lee Hsi-Cin was born in 1786 and died in 1865, lived for 80 years. He was well known for his obedient and filial behavior to his parents and enthusiastic for the social good deed. The Lee Hsi-Cin memorial Arch was built in 1876, when the reporter for Ching dynasty Lin BonShaw declared his good behaviors to the emperor and request the emporor to award Lee Hsi-Cin. After two years, it was permitted. 
 
The monument arch of Lee Hsi-Cin had four main pillars, three doors in width and three levels in height. There were two boards "obedient son" and "monument arch for Lee Hsi-Cin" between the second and third level. Both sides were decorated with exuberant engraving . On the top of the gate, an imperial edict was put in the middle, and accompanied with other calabashes and birds components. 
 
The material of this monument arch was white stone from ChuanChou, and the sign boards were chindow stone. Two different colors of stones matched appropriately and achieved the harmonious beauty. The foundation of the monument arch was held by calabash shaped stone, which was a very distinguishing feature of the whole structure.
