Hsinchu Japanese God temple

In 1936 Japan tried to carry out the policy of emperor dominated country, therefore, the government tried to enlarge the dimension of the temple. The second stage of the god temple completed in 1940, in addition to the main hall, added the praying hall, dining hall, musical hall, and recreation center ...etc. plus the approaching path and the bath room.
After several times reconstruction and destruction, now only the approaching path and the office still existed. The Chinese cypress used for the material for the structure was durable, and preserved the palace from wind and rain by time.
People still nowadayscould image its ancient beauty from some details still remained, the 'ghost tiles' and the 'suspending fish' were very delicated in sculpturing craft.
Hsinchu Japanese god temple was the biggest Japanese god temple Japanese ever built in Taiwan, which also proved how important the political state of Hsin Chu at that time.
