Hsian Shan Train Station

Xiang Shang Train Station Hsian Shan train station was built in 1928, typically traditional Japanese style, and was one of the very rare wood train stations still existed along the west railways.

The station was quite small and narrow, but its lovely dimension and friendliness had always been important in people's memory, and also the landmark of the Hsian Shan area.

The Hsian Shan station was a typical' enter mother house building', which put the entrance ahead, and deleted the usual balance and symmetric characters used for the building. To emphasize the outward entrance, a veranda was under the entrance roof, the pillars holding the veranda were engraved with cow legs shaped. For preventing passengers from sun and rain, the edge of the platforms was extended a circle of roof hold by thin wood pillars.

The general concept of Hsian Shan station looked plaint, simple in appearances but with touching beauty insides.
